What’s on the Menu?

Established in 2023 under AB 1228, the California Fast Food Council is a new regulatory body tasked with recommending industry-wide minimum wages and standards for fast food workers. Since its formation, the Council has received a range of proposals that would further unfairly single out local restaurant owners.

Proposals Under Consideration:

Annual Wage Increases

Would raise the minimum wage to $20.70/hour in 2025 and $21.40/hour in 2026, regardless of business conditions.

New Restrictive Scheduling Requirements

Would impose new rigid scheduling rules, restricting flexibility for both employees and owners.
